Pumping Efficiency Program
The
Agricultural Pumping Efficiency Program is an educational and incentive
rebate program intended to improve overall pumping plant efficiency and
encourage energy conservation.
Kaweah Pump, Inc. is on the short-list of providers for the
Agricultural Pumping Efficiency Program that is managed through Fresno
State University. Kaweah Pump is certified through this program to
perform pump efficiency tests, pump rehabilitation or replacement and
re-testing to bring lower performing pumps up to standard. Along with
future savings because of lower operating costs, many pump owners have
applied for and received money back from the program which paid part of
their repair costs.
Eligibility
All owners or users of an agricultural electrical or natural gas
utility account that are paying the Public Goods Charge (normally
customers of PG&E, SCE, SCG, and SDG&E) are eligible. The term
“agriculture” means that account billing is governed by an
agricultural rate schedule and that the account is classified as
primary production agriculture use.
